At the February 10th Township Committee meeting, Mayor Catherine Payne presented members of the Hillsborough High School Black Student Union with a proclamation recognizing February as Black History Month.
The Black Student Union aims to educate students and the community on Black history, culture, and heritage.
During Black History Month, we celebrate the many achievements and vast contributions of African Americans to the economic, spiritual, political, and cultural development of both our nation and our community. Hillsborough Township is proud to honor this history and the lasting impact of African Americans in our local area.

Students from the HHS Legacy Show Choir traveled to Massachusetts to compete in the Shepherd Hill Show Choir Festival.
We are thrilled to share that Legacy was awarded Best Vocals, Judges Award for Most Creative Costuming, Gold Rating, Outstanding Showmanship: Alejandro Medina, and the Judges Award for Outstanding Performer: Scott Doyal. Congratulations! Go Raiders!

Congratulations to the HHS JV dance team for a stellar showing at the High School National Dance competition.
The JV team placed 6th in the nation for Jazz, 5th in Game Day and earned a medal by getting 3rd in the nation for Hip Hop! Congratulations! Go Raiders!

Congratulations to the Science Olympiad team on Saturday for finishing 3rd place overall at the Yale Invitational. Notable medal winners were: Om Babaria and Ethan Chen for Engineering CAD, Aymaan Ahsan, Ruby Zhao, and Cynthia Lei for Experimental Design, Eddie Volkov and Aryesh Kundu for Robot Tour, and Anya Verma and Rickey Su for Anatomy & Physiology. Congratulations to the HHS Girls Wrestling team on being named Skyland Champions in their 1st official season as a Girls Wrestling Team!
1st place Maria Imhauser and Kayla Cesiano. 2nd place Charlida Cimino, Delaney Kiernan, Jayla Hidalgo, and Jana Abdalate. Taking 3rd place, Layla Dadzie and Manali Braich.
Charlida Cimino secured HHS Wrestling history by achieving 75 wins in her career & Maria Imhauser is now a 3x Champion!
The team also won the Skyland Conference Tournament as the top team overall. Amazing Job! Go Raiders!

Due to potentially hazardous early morning conditions, all Hillsborough Township Public Schools have a 2-hour delayed opening tomorrow, Tuesday February 24, 2026. Please expect buses to pick your child up 2 hours later than normal. Lunches will be served. Afternoon kindergarten and afternoon preschool classes will begin 1 hour later than normal. Hillsborough Memorial VFW Post 8371 recognized HHS students Dean Milano, Shubham Sawant, and Akshaya Sureshkumar and Yashmee Yatham (not pictured) for their outstanding achievements in The 2025 VFW Voice of Democracy Scholarship Program. Go Raiders!

Congratulations to the HHS Boys & Girls Swim Team. The following swimmers were crowned Somerset County Champions recently.
Emily Sudol won the 200 Individual Medley & the 500 freestyle, Olivia Kay won the 50 freestyle & the 100 freestyle, and Josh Cetin won the 100 butterfly.
The girls also won the 200 Yard Freestyle Relay, which included: Emily Sudol, Megan Wishnow, Tammy Leng & Olivia Kay and the winners of the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay are: Emily Sudol, Tammy Leng, Olivia Kay & Dylan Briones. Amazing job! Go Raiders!

Congratulations to the Girls Track and Field Team for winning the Skyland Conference Championship!
The girls were led by Gold medal winners Peyton Wallace, Stella Martinez, Luciana Damiano, Emma Burd and Emma Stibitz who set a meet record in the long jump at 18'0.5. Runner-ups were Ava Lucariello and Debbie Ozokpor. Other scorers were Jess Reji, Izzy Ruffa, Ellie Boateng and Andrea Montoya. Awesome job! Go Raiders!
