Summer Volunteer Opportunity!

The Hillsborough Department of Special Services is looking for student volunteers for our Extended School Year (ESY) program. Students must be entering 10th, 11th, or 12th Grade by September 2026. The district’s ESY program is for students in our self-contained classes, preschool through high school, who experience significant regression of skills during prolonged breaks from school.

The ESY program runs from July 1st through July 31st, 2026. The program will run at Triangle Elementary School and Hillsborough Middle School from 8:45 AM-12:30 PM.

New and returning volunteers should print the linked volunteer application form and drop it off at the High School CST office as well as complete this Google Form by April 24, 2026. No applications will be accepted after this date.

Interviews for prospective new volunteers will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 beginning at 2:00 PM in the Hillsborough High School Child Study Team office. You will be contacted with your scheduled time slot.

There will be an orientation at Hillsborough High School in Room 302 for all volunteers on Monday, June 22, 2026 from 1:00-2:00 PM. All volunteer assignments will be given out at that time.
