Annual High School Art Exhibition
The Art Administrators of New Jersey
The Emerging Artists Exhibit presents work produced
by students who are studying art in high schools throughout the state.
The works are judged and Awards of Merit and Honorable Mention
are presented to the student artists.
Students admire this year's Emerging Artists' show.
In addition to exhibiting at this juried show, award recipients are eligible
to submit a portfolio of images and compete in the
Art Administrators' Achievement Award program
in which one student is selected to receive additional cash recognition
and a Governor's Award in the spring.
Winning students at Emerging Artists receive a beautiful medallion with their certificate and award.
The Art Administrators of New Jersey is an organization of art educators
that has the responsibility of managing school art programs in many districts throughout the state. Its members represent both large and small districts from a variety of geographical settings. The AANJ is actively involved in many state and national programs designed to:
foster better art education in our schools,
provide recognition for outstanding artistic achievement, and
develop understanding, appreciation and support for art education.
This annual art exhibit was initiated in 1988 to recognize the outstanding achievements of New Jersey's talented and dedicated high school students in the area of Visual Arts,
and to heighten public awareness of art education programs in this state.
