School Year Enrichment Programs

The following local programs are offered to high school students on the college campus during the academic year:

Columbia University Science Honors Program
Offers enrichment courses in science and mathematics on Saturday mornings throughout the school year to 700 students who have been selected from approximately 750 high schools in the metropolitan New York area. The 2019-20 SHP will have openings for 400 new students. Applicants must now be in the 11th, 10th, or 9th grade and should have a strong interest and exceptional ability in science and mathematics

Fairleigh Dickinson University
Saturday Program for High School Students

New Jersey Institute of Technology
Academy College Courses

Designed for high achieving 11th and 12th graders. Students can earn up to 8 credits by taking small, customized courses. Courses are offered on Saturdays during the academic year, and M-F during the summer.

Raritan Valley Community College
Early Credits Program (not the same as concurrent enrollment)

Students may take classes at RVCC: in person, online, or at a satellite location. Courses are taken alongside college students. Students must have a minimum 3.0 average, and approval of their counselor. It is NOT necessary for students to transfer these credits onto their high school transcript, if the course is not needed for high school graduation or course advancement. If the course is being taken with the intention of advancing courses at HHS or for graduation, students must apply for Option II credit before enrolling in the course.

Rider University
Gifted and Talented Program

Students may enroll in traditional courses at Rider University, for credit.
